OVERVIEW
Abe is currently completing his articles at Richards Buell Sutton, having earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Victoria, Faculty of Law in May 2025. Prior to law school, Abe successfully founded and operated an international education and immigration agency, where he facilitated partnerships with leading secondary and post-secondary educational institutions across the country and supported hundreds of international students and families from abroad. This entrepreneurial background has given him a comprehensive understanding of business operations, including sales, marketing, and human resources.
Born and raised in South Korea, Abe can communicate fluently in Korean and aspires to improve access to justice for Korean and visible minority communities with cultural competency. He has delivered guest talks and presentations through local organizations, such as S.U.C.C.E.S.S., YMCA-Vancouver, and the MLA Office of Paul Choi and continues to seek opportunities for meaningful community engagement.
During law school, Abe worked as a law co-op student at the BC Office of the Ombudsperson and continued as a Manager of Investigations Assistant on a part-time basis.
Abe also holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours with Distinction) from Simon Fraser University.
Outside of the office, Abe enjoys spending time with family and friends, including playing chess with his son and being a “dadager” for his daughter who aspires to be a movie star. He is also a fan of animal and history documentaries, scientific theories in physics, and all things crypto.
