Employer’s Apology And Gift Card To Complainant Leads To Dismissal Of Human Rights Complaint

In Michelle Quinn’s latest blog post, on the BC Workplace Blog, she reviews the recent human rights decision of Duke v. Sobey’s West Inc., where the Human Rights Tribunal dismissed Ms. Duke’s complaint of discrimination because Sobey’s had taken adequate steps to remedy Ms. Duke’s complaint. A prompt response, investigation and apology went a long way.
