OVERVIEW
Heather is an associate in the firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group, with a practice focused on bankruptcy and insolvency.
Following her time as a summer student at RBS in 2024, Heather returned to the firm to complete her articles in 2025. During her articles, she gained experience across many stages of litigation, including interviewing clients, conducting legal research, communicating with opposing counsel, drafting pleadings and written submissions.
Heather was born in Stamford, Connecticut, and then raised in Toronto, Ontario. Prior to law school, she attended the University of Western Ontario where she obtained an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree from the Faculty of Media & Information Studies. During that time, she competed at the national level in the pentathlon; a multi-sport track & field event consisting of the 60m hurdles, high jump, shot put, long jump and the 800m. In her final year she was named team captain.
During law school at the University of Victoria, Heather volunteered as a human rights advocate at the Vancouver Island Human Rights Coalition. Additionally, she participated on the basketball, soccer and volleyball law intramural teams.
Outside of the office, Heather is an avid outdoors enthusiast, enjoying activities such as mountain biking, bike packing, back country skiing, surfing and trail running.
