Modernization of Motor Vehicle Act Approved by City Councils of Victoria and New Westminster

City Councils for both Victoria and New Westminster have unanimously endorsed recommendations made by the Road Safety Reform Group to modernize the Motor Vehicle Act. David Hay Q.C., is chair of the group which authored the report containing the recommendations. Its purpose is to improve road safety and reduce harm by revising and clarifying the laws regulating traffic, with specific emphasis on the protection of vulnerable road users including cyclists and pedestrians.
