Chair of the Road Safety Law Reform Group and Bike Lawyer, David Hay, K.C., along with the support of HUB Cycling, proposed changes to the Motor Vehicle Act including legally enforcing a safe distance for drivers passing cyclists. The Road Safety Law Reform Committee has made several recommendations to the provincial government to increase safety for vulnerable BC road users, including a change to the Act’s name to the Road Safety Act.
