Jeff Lowe, Managing Partner, appointed Queen’s Counsel

Richards Buell Sutton LLP is pleased to announce that managing partner Jeffrey Lowe was appointed Queen’s Counsel on December 11, 2013.

The Attorney General of British Columbia bestows the title of Queen’s Counsel (Q.C.) to members of the legal profession who have demonstrated exception merit and made a significant contribution not only to the profession, but also to the Province of British Columbia.

Jeff joined RBS as an articling student and has practiced his entire legal career with us.  He became the managing partner of RBS in 1990, the youngest of such in the firm’s 142 year history. He is the incoming Chair of PRAC, a strategic alliance of law firms from 37 countries representing over 12,000 lawyers.  He is the Chair of our Advanced Education and Research practice group and is a sought after speaker and author on these topics.  He regularly advises corporate, institutional and technology companies in corporate finance, intellectual property, licensing and franchising.

Richards Buell Sutton is thrilled for Jeff and the recognition as a leading practitioner in British Columbia he receives through the Queen’s Counsel designation.
