Soniya Pillay

OVERVIEW

Soniya graduated with her paralegal diploma in 2016, and has worked on files in the Provincial Court, Supreme Court, and British Columbia Court of Appeal. Specializing in family law, she has extensive experience with a wide range of complex family law litigation. Soniya’s experience also includes wills & estates, civil litigation, and motor vehicle matters.

In addition to her paralegal work, in 2021, she diversified her experience and became an instructor to a group of paralegal students teaching intellectual property, credit, and collections. This experience  was unique and invaluable, and it taught her to continue pursuing opportunities that educate herself and others in the area of law.

Soniya cultivates strong and impactful relationships with clients. She creates an approachable and professional environment, ensuring they feel comfortable and understood, particularly when navigating through difficult circumstances.

Outside of the office Soniya is active. She spends time with her dogs, enjoys tasting new foods and trying different activities, and reads to stay current with the latest mystery novel.
