OVERVIEW
Aasfi joined the firm in May 2026 as a summer student after completing her second year at the Peter A. Allard School of Law at The University of British Columbia.
She grew up in Penticton, B.C. before attending the University of Toronto for an Honours Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Political Science and Environmental Studies. As an undergraduate, she conducted research on Hurricane Maria redevelopment efforts in Puerto Rico and wrote her thesis on female labour organizing in Bangladesh’s fast fashion industry. Her thesis research brought her to Dhaka where she worked with local organizations to launch a non-profit providing feminine hygiene products to impoverished youth.
In law school, she served as an editor for UBC Law Review and spent a semester with the Rise Women’s Legal Centre, helping underprivileged women access legal services. She intends to complete her JD with a specialization in Law and Social Justice.
Outside of law, Aasfi loves to travel and has been to over 40 countries. She is passionate about ethical fashion, with experience in celebrity styling and various Fashion Weeks as a part of their sustainability team. She has worked in the service industry throughout her education and enjoys meeting new people and connecting over a shared appreciation of food and drink. Her first language is Bengali and she speaks conversational Spanish.
