OVERVIEW

Aivrey is currently completing her articles at the firm, having earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Victoria, Faculty of Law in May 2025.

During law school, Aivrey volunteered for Pro Bono Students Canada where she conducted legal research for the Canadian Civil Liberties Association and the Victoria Sexual Assault Centre.

In her final semester, she was selected to compete in the Willem C. VIS Commercial Arbitration Moot in Vienna, Austria, which is the largest private law moot competition in the world. She advocated through both written and oral submissions on an international business law dispute.

Prior to law school, Aivrey obtained an Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree from McMaster University with a major in Justice, Political Philosophy and Law. There she founded an undergraduate law review and mentorship program, where she created opportunities for undergraduate students to publish articles about the law on the Social Science Research Network (SSRN).

Aivrey was a competitive swimmer for 10 years and was a member of the varsity swim team at McMaster. She competed in 50, 100, and 200 meter events, often placing in the top 10 at the national and junior international level and winning medals at provincial competitions.

Aivrey also worked at Vancouver Canucks Sports & Entertainment as an intern in the Membership Experience department.

Outside of the office, Aivrey continues to swim recreationally, and enjoys making macarons, travelling across the globe to go puffin watching, and walking her cats.
