Erin Buchanan

OVERVIEW

Erin joined Richards Buell Sutton in 2021, bringing with her more than 20 years’ experience in the legal field. She supports the Business Law Group and the Corporate Services Department. Due to her well-rounded experience in general corporate matters, Erin assists with a wide variety of corporate transactions, including asset and share purchases, smaller corporate reorganizations, share allotments and transfers, redemptions and dividends, changes of directors and officers, name changes, and alterations.

After graduating with distinction in 1997 from the Legal Secretary Program at Capilano University, Erin began her legal career at a small downtown law firm that was primarily focused on corporate/commercial work. In the years before joining RBS, she gained experience in several other practice areas, including administrative law and wills and estates, and she spent 8 years supporting a sole practitioner – a civil litigator, before returning to her first love of corporate/commercial law.

Outside of the office, Erin is an avid music fan who also enjoys travelling. In her downtime you’ll usually find her combining those loves, and jetting off to catch one of her favourite bands in concert.
