Analysis of a Contract

An introduction to the basics of contracts law. The presentation will explain the elements of a contract, including the formation of a legal contract, parties, consideration, definitions, representations and warranties, term and termination, governing laws, and “boiler plate” clauses. In addition, a discussion on specific areas that are relevant to clinical and research institutions, e.g. confidentiality and publication issues.
Sze-Mei Yeung and Georg Reuter both practise in the Intellectual Property and Advanced Education and Research practice groups at RBS and have experience negotiating and drafting material transfer agreements, confidentiality agreements, collaborative research agreements and license agreements.
