As one of Canada’s oldest law firms, RBS joins in the celebration of Canada’s 150th year!

The Vancouver Sun recently published 150 noteworthy British Columbian profiles to mark Canada’s milestone anniversary. we are proud to be associated with the accomplishments of Mabel Priscilla Penery French, who paved the way for women to practice law in our province. Mabel was the first woman to be admitted to the BC Bar in 1905, when William J. Bowser, a  founding member of the firm from which the Sutton part of our name originates, passed a legislation allowing women to practice law during his premiership.
