B.C. Privacy Commissioner's Draft Guidelines for Employers

The Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner is seeking public comments on draft employment privacy guidelines. The Personal Information Protection Act ("PIPA") regulates the collection, use and disclosure of employee personal information by employers in the private sector. To assist employers in their collection, use and disclosure of employee personal information, the Commissioner is developing guidelines for selected employment privacy issues.
