Richard has joined the firm as an articled student. He will rotate through the firm’s various areas of law with the aim of improving his understanding of the practice of law. It is the firm's goal to help Richard through his legal development for the next year until he is called to the Bar of British Columbia.
Prior to law school, Richard studied electrical engineering and played football at the University of Calgary where he was named the university’s athlete of the year in 2005. A former 1st round CFL draft pick, injuries forced Richard to hang up his cleats. He continues to stay active by playing hockey and searching for his mishit golf balls.
While studying law at the University of Saskatchewan, Richard served on the board of directors for the law school’s annual variety show. While he thoroughly enjoyed his experiences in Saskatchewan, he looks forward to the warmer West Coast weather. Richard is excited to be joining Richards Buell Sutton LLP.
