Close to 900,000 Canadians relied on food banks this past month - The Greater Vancouver Food Bank is one of Canada's largest food banks. Richards Buell Sutton has been an active supporter for a number of years and are participating in this year's Hunger Awareness Week, to raise the awareness and profile of these organizations and the work they continue to do.

As part of the 2011 RBC GranFondo Whistler, more than 7000 riders cycled the Sea to Sky Highway on a magnificent day in September. Before sunrise, 40 members from Richards Buell Sutton LLP, BC's Oldest Law Firm, were on hand volunteering at the start line, cheering on their own team of cyclist and assisting where they could to make this year's ride an extraordinary event. Today, the University of British Columbia opened the country's first new purpose-built university law school building in 30 years, a $56-million facility made possible by the largest private fundraising effort for a Canadian law school building.
