Profile

Sze-Mei first joined Richards Buell Sutton LLP as an associate in the Technology Group in 1999, and rejoined the firm in June 2005. Sze-Mei practised technology, corporate-commercial and health law at Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP from 2000 to 2004. She worked for MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (MDA) as in-house counsel from 2004 to 2005. At MDA, she provided legal support for the Information Products business unit which provides land information products and geospatial services to customers on a worldwide basis. She serviced the acquisitional, licensing and commercial needs of MDA and its subsidiaries in Canada, the US and the United Kingdom.

Sze-Mei advises companies, hospitals, universities and health authorities with respect to technology transfer issues, licensing agreements, software development and distribution agreements, Internet and e-commerce agreements, and corporate-commercial matters.
