Profile
Peter Lightbody is an Associate with Richards Buell Sutton LLP and is a member of our litigation practice. His practice is exclusively litigation based with an emphasis on estate litigation and insurance (motor vehicle) cases. Peter is our principal contact with the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia and also a member of our commercial litigation and employment litigation practice.
Peter's experience includes Committee disputes, acting on behalf of clients under the Wills Variation Act, and advising generally on contentious estates. He has also handled a number of personal injury claims arising under motor vehicle insurance policies.
He has also represented clients, both employer and employee, on wrongful dismissal claims, and has provided advice on Employment Standards Act entitlements and obligations.
Peter is also experienced in conducting trials at the Provincial and Supreme Court levels, and has considerable experience appearing as counsel at mediation.
